Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · effective 9 October 2026 · apply to the Relicly app (Android)

These Terms govern the use of Relicly, an app that turns discovering Portugal's heritage into a game of visits, points and routes. By creating an account or using the app you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The Portuguese version is the authoritative one if there is any difference.

1. Who provides the service

The service is provided by Sensatiligeiro, tax ID (NIF) 518125882, address Rua da Quinta, N.º 3, Bloco 1, 5º Dto., 4490-053 Póvoa de Varzim ("we"). Contact: suporte@nexoriontech.pt, which is also our single point of contact for users and authorities under Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).

2. The service

Relicly lets you record visits to monuments and places of interest, earn points, levels, badges and quests, follow other users and chat with them. The app is free. We may offer paid features in future (see section 11); we will never charge you without clear notice first and your agreement.

3. Account

4. Rules of use

By using Relicly you agree to:

5. What you post in the app

The photo, bio, name and messages you post are yours. You give us only a limited, non-exclusive, free licence to store, display and transmit them to other users as needed for the app to work (for example, showing your photo on your profile). That licence ends when you delete the content or the account, except for temporary technical copies.

We use automatic filters to stop offensive profile photos and texts, and anyone who receives a message or finds a profile that breaks these Terms can block and report the user in the app. When we receive a report we review it and may remove content, warn or suspend the account. When we restrict something or an account, we tell you why, and you can contest it by writing to suporte@nexoriontech.pt. You can also notify us of illegal content at that address.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, illustrations, texts, badges and the name "Relicly" belong to us or are licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other laws. We give you the right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, and nothing more. Photographs of monuments belong to their authors and are used under free licences (Creative Commons and similar), with the credit shown next to each photo.

7. Points, badges and rankings

Points, levels, badges, quests and titles are game elements: they have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. We may correct or reset scores when there is an error, abuse or cheating, and change the game rules (for example, point values or quests), always aiming to be fair.

8. App content and route safety

We try to keep information about monuments accurate, but it may contain errors or be out of date. Walking distances and times are estimates. Places may be closed, under works or have their own opening hours, and the map may not show every restriction. Always check on the spot.

9. Availability, suspension and termination

We want the app to work all the time but do not guarantee continuous availability: there may be maintenance, faults or provider outages. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the law, normally after warning you. The app also temporarily blocks sign-in after several wrong passwords, to protect your account.

10. Liability

We are liable as required by law. This includes, where you are a consumer, your rights regarding the conformity of digital content and services (Decree-Law no. 84/2021), which these Terms do not remove. We do not exclude liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for damage the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for events beyond our reasonable control (for example, internet, GPS or third-party failures), nor for accidents or losses that happen on your route.

11. Paid features (in future)

If we offer subscriptions or in-app purchases, we will state beforehand the price including VAT, the duration, renewal and how to cancel. Payment is made through Google Play, which also handles renewals and refunds under its own rules. Where the law gives you a right of withdrawal (14 days, Decree-Law no. 24/2014), we will tell you how to exercise it and about the legal exceptions that apply to digital content.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may change these Terms, for example if the law or the app changes. We will tell you in the app and/or by e-mail at least 30 days in advance for material changes. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law, complaints and disputes

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rules of your country of residence also apply. We try to resolve any complaint by e-mail first: suporte@nexoriontech.pt.

As a consumer you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes (list at www.consumidor.gov.pt) and, where applicable, file a complaint in the Electronic Complaints Book (www.livroreclamacoes.pt). [[PREENCHER: confirm with a lawyer/accountant whether the entity must join the Electronic Complaints Book and name an ADR body]] For disputes that are not resolved, the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to a consumer's right to go to the courts of their place of residence.

14. Final provisions

If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remain in force. Not exercising a right does not mean waiving it.
